Doubt

Doubt: a parable

by John Patrick Shanley

"Doubt can be a bond as powerful and sustaining as certainty."

The play is set in the St. Nicholas Church School during the fall of 1964. Father Flynn, a beloved and progressive parish priest, and the school's principal, Sister Aloysius, a rigidly conservative nun, disagree on how to teach their students. How they resolve this conflict made this play and the 2008 film (based on the play) award winning.
